What a cookie is
A cookie is a small piece of data a website stores in your browser so it can remember something between page loads — for example, that you’re in the middle of a checkout.
Cookies we set
Essential — LaunchBrief session (future)
Once authenticated accounts ship, we will set a session cookie (via Supabase Auth) so you stay signed in across pages. This cookie is strictly necessary; without it, the app cannot identify your runs or reports.
Purpose: authentication and session. Lifetime: up to 30 days, sliding. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (contract performance).
Essential — Stripe Checkout
When you click “Continue to checkout”, you are redirected to a page hosted by Stripe on checkout.stripe.com. Stripe sets its own cookies to process the payment, protect against fraud, and remember your checkout progress. We do not set or read those cookies ourselves.

Cookies we do NOT use
- No analytics — no Google Analytics, Plausible, PostHog, etc. We will update this page before adding any analytics provider, and we will ask for consent before setting a non-essential cookie.
- No ad or retargeting pixels (Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
- No social sharing trackers.
- No session-replay tools (e.g. Hotjar, FullStory).
How to control cookies
You can clear and block cookies via your browser settings. Blocking our essential cookies will prevent you from completing checkout or staying signed in, but the marketing site will still load.
Changes to this policy
If we change which cookies we set — for example, by adding analytics — we will update this page and change the cookie notice to a real consent prompt before setting any non-essential cookie.
